Local Food + Drink
CPR is located at the nexus of several North Brooklyn neighborhoods including North Williamsburg, East Williamsburg, and Greenpoint. There are many fantastic places nearby to grab a coffee, drink, bite, or provisions – here are just a few! We’ve focused on some of the places we love that are within a few blocks of CPR – perfect for your post-rehearsal snack attack or pre-show happy hour date!

Serving imaginative and yet familiar takes on Cantonese-American cuisine, Bonnie’s arrived with much-deserved fanfare and is still one of the hottest tables in town. It’s worth ducking under the BQE and heading north on Manhattan Ave to experience one of NYC’s best and most carefully curated beer programs, with an ambitious, rotating list of 21 drafts and over 200 bottles. They also have a fantastic seasonal food menu – we love the perennial chicken sandwich and bread with house-fermented butter.

@lellalimentari
Mon-Thurs 8am-4:30pm
Fri-Sun 8am-6:30pm
If you like strong, well-brewed coffee, this is the place for you. They are also known for tasty piadine – a traditional Italian flatbread sandwich – with various combinations of meat, cheese, and veggies. We also love their burrata salad, quiche, and Italian charm. Great to hang out inside or their picnic tables along the sidewalk.

The name says it all! Stop in for your daytime fix – including coffee and tea, VERY delicious sandwiches (we’re partial to the turkey and bacon…), a carrot salad not to be missed, and pastries baked in-house, including some gluten-free delights (don’t get between Anna and the tahini chocolate chip cookie).

Sat 9am-7pm
Sun 9am-6pm
Meet our favorite next door neighbor! We love their onigiri (rice balls) – made fresh daily on-site – and assortment of Japanese snacks, treats, tea, books, and gifts! Don’t sleep on the tuna salad sandwich, and and be sure to say hello and have a chat with Yukiko, the shop’s effervescent owner who spoils us with candy and kindness.

@drinkebbs
Sun-Thurs 12-10pm
Fri-Sat 12pm-12:30am
Maybe a few paces farther from CPR than some other places, but it’s worth a little jaunt for their great brews made right here in Williamsburg, and an awesome extended craft beer selection. You may have sipped LAGER NO.3 at our Spring Benefit this year – we have some extra love for EBBS for donating it!
Variety Coffee

The original location of this Brooklyn coffee mainstay, Variety roasts their own beans daily and stays fresh with rotating coffees that reflect different growing regions and seasons. Family owned and operated since 1994, Anthony & Son is home to some of the best (um, maybe the best?) sandwiches in NYC, and we are lucky to have them as our neighbors right here in Williamsburg. There are endless combos to choose from, and you cannot go wrong. It doesn’t get more classic than this!

Rosehip Social Florist

Every day 10am-7pm
We had to include our friends at Rosehip on the list – their flowers and arrangements are a feast for the eyes! Our go-to for flowers-for-any-occasion, their bouquets are always elegant, seasonal, and whimsical. Extra love to local owner Pola and her awesome team for not batting an eye when we asked them for (lightly) decaying flowers for our recent spring benefit all about decomposition!

A café serving specialty coffee and Chinese pastries, and a great place to meet a friend, have a little laptop time, or watch the world go by. Every day 10am-8pm
Dedicated to the practice of whole animal butchery, we’re lucky to have quality, local, pasture-raised meat right around the corner from CPR. Their shop also has beautiful local produce, prepared foods, and pantry items. On Thursdays in the summer, don’t miss their backyard BBQ collabs, and we’ve already sung the praises of nearby sister restaurant, Cozy Royale.

@beerstreetnorth
Mon-Thurs 5pm-2am / Fri 5pm-2am
Sat 2pm-2am / Sun 2pm-12am
Just around the corner from CPR, you’ll find this snug craft beer bar, with a small but well-curated draft list and hard-to-find bottles. We love to stop by before or after a show, or grab a growler to-go after work. No snacks on-site, but located conveniently next door to Pita Palace!
Huda

@hudabrooklyn
Tues-Sat 5-11pm
A newer addition to the neighborhood, Huda serves inventive, warm, and delicious takes on Levantine cuisine, with an impressive beverage program to match! They also have a free series of music and film on Sundays starting in May. We’re excited for a new, delicious place to gather for a pre- or post-show bite!
